This event led to the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
