The former president's Granddaughter Gets Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for significant competition

The rising star maintains considerable online presence

The young golfer can count on multiple prominent backers when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.

"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

But she's able to get advice from golf legend, who is dating her mother.

"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."

The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to different demographics, particularly reaching the next generation.

The social media influencer boasts substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
