Kansas City Chiefs State They Are Aware of Domestic Violence Claims Connected to Wide Receiver Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night stating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and were in communication with the league office.
The team omitted the name of Rice specifically in their announcement and noted they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, shared a set of images on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones stated the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has two children with the football player, whom the team drafted in the second round.
