Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a embargo on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

After the deaths, public figures offered different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive claims that were met with immediate backlash by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his program, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disturbing" and suggested they revealed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an associate could have intervened when the choice to comment on the death was made.
